Benefits Specialist Open Enrollment

We are assisting our client, MSA, in looking for an energetic benefits specialist who thrives in a fast-paced, work environment to assist with their open enrollment period. This position is located in the Cranberry, PA Corporate Center.


This project is scheduled to run from August 2023 through end of the year. Monday-Friday, hybrid schedule, must be available to work in the Cranberry office 2-3 days/week.


Salary $24-25/hr.


Responsibilities/duties:


Explains employee benefits by conducting meetings as well as preparing written and graphic presentations


Develops and delivers presentations to employees on total rewards program


Reviews communications to ensure plan documents, summary plan descriptions and other related information are updated in a timely manner


Responds to escalated inquiries relating to plan changes, enrollment, eligibility, cost, compliance, etc


Resolves complex and variable benefit issues, federal and state laws, with substantial potential impact to the business


Supports and executes retirement plans


Acts as liaison between vendors and employees for both pension and 401K plans


Acts as primary contact for pension and 401K plan audits


Maintains plan documents and summary plan descriptions for all health and retirement plans


Ensures compliance with guidelines and laws such as:
Affordable Care Act, Form 5500, COBRA, ERISA, DOL, PBGC and IRS


Develops, improves, and implements processes used to support benefits strategy


Manages relationships with vendors


Develops benefits dashboards to measure overall effectiveness of benefits programs



Skills:


Must possess initiative, interpersonal relationship skills, ability to prioritize work and handle periodically heavy workload with multiple deadlines


Proficient Excel skills


Solid research, analytical and problem solving skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy


Exceptional written and oral communication skills



Education/Experience Required:


Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
